Jennerstown Speedway Names Lysakowski Promoter

(Jennerstown, PA – March 30, 2017) Management of the Jennerstown (PA) Speedway has added to the staff for the 2017 racing season, naming Mike Lysakowski as promoter. Lysakowski, a veteran motorsports Marketing/Public Relations consultant and race broadcaster, will join the Jennerstown team full time April 3, 2017.

“I spent a majority of Saturday nights during my early teen years at Jennerstown Speedway, and I am thrilled to become a part of the day-to-day operations,“ Lysakowski stated. “My family and I drove two-and-a-half hours almost every week, to enjoy racing at such a top-notch facility when I was young. I’ve had the opportunity to work during various events at Jennerstown in recent years, but I am very excited to be part of the team permanently. The new management’s long range vision for racing at Jennerstown is not just optimistic; it’s very well structured for decades of success,” Lysakowski assessed.

Lysakowski began working in the racing industry as a writer and photographer for editor Dave Kittey at RPM Magazine and RPM Racing News as a teenager. Soon, he was a recurring co-host of Don Gamble’s “RappinOnRacin’” radio broadcasts; a position he still holds. At age 17, Lysakowski founded Motorsport Aspects Limited which published the Oval Track Annual magazine. Known as “The Encyclopedia of Short Track Racing,” the yearly book was sold at speedways and retail stores in eleven states. He went on to operate a dirt track E-Mod (Modified) regional racing touring series for six years, with major corporate sponsorship. More recently, working as a broadcaster, Lysakowski has been a play-by-play announcer for racing events on radio, internet, television, and has served as at-track P.A. announcer. He joins Jennerstown Speedway as a long-time Marketing consultant, and Public Relations director in the industries of motorsports, health care, and non-profit fund raising. In the racing off-season, Lysakowski travels the nation teaching corporate seminars on topics such as Media Relations, Marketing, and Sponsorships. His seminars have been part of the annual RPM Promoters Workshops for speedway owners across the country in recent years, as well.

Jennerstown Speedway, one of the oldest short-track facilities in the United States, has undergone a number of transformations leading up to today’s state-of-the-art motorsports complex. Eighteen racing events are scheduled for the 2017 season.
