Armed Forces Night kicks off 2017 Racing Season at Jennerstown Speedway Complex
(Jennerstown, PA) This Saturday, May 20, will be the one-week-delayed “Opening Night 2017” at the Jennerstown Speedway Complex with five different divisions of stock car racing and a Salute To The Armed Forces. All active and retired members of the military will be granted free admission for the event. Advance tickets from the originally scheduled “Opening Night” will be honored for admission to this Saturday’s race.
After flooded grounds forced postponement of the first race of 2017, anticipation is at a fever-pitch for competitors to speed around the half-mile, paved oval, door-to-door this Saturday night. As always, adult general admission tickets are just $10, with children ages twelve and under admitted free. And Saturday, for the 2017 Salute To The Armed Forces, all current and former members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard will be admitted free for the five divisions of racing.
Saturday will also mark the “Grand Opening”of Racer’s Pub on the vendor midway inside the Jennerstown Speedway Complex. Offering adults (age 21 and over) cold, refreshing beer and malt beverages during every racing event in 2017 is a brand new amenity for the Complex
Racer’s Pub, located at the turn four end of the main concession building, will offer race fans a place to socialize before and after the on-track competition. The Pub will offer Miller Lite, Coors Light, Bud Light, Budweiser, Yuengling, Mike’s Hard Lemonade/Black Cherry, and Twisted Tea, which can be carried throughout the Complex. With a live band performing this Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, the Grand Opening of Racer’s Pub will be a memorable moment in the history of Jennerstown Speedway.
Gates open at 4:00pm with racing action for the Martella’s Pharmacy Late Models, Stoystown Auto Wrecking Modifieds, J&J Truck Equipment Street Stocks, Farmers Union Co-op Chargers, and Somerset Bank and Trust Company Fast ‘n Furous 4-Cylinders starting at 6:00pm.
