(May 25, 2017 Jennerstown, PA) After a thrilling “Opening Night” of racing action last Saturday, Jennerstown Speedway Complex will be back in action May 27th, with five divisions of Stock Car Racing, plus the first round of the Ron’s Collision Center Enduro Series. The Enduro Series includes four events during the season, and thanks to Ron’s Collision Center, of Somerset, a Champion of the Enduros will be crowned at the conclusion of 2017. Local television personality Mary Ours will sing the national anthem to launch this holiday weekend racing extravaganza.

A massive crowd watched the defending Champion of the Martella’s Pharmacies Late Model division of racing, Barry Awtey, dominate his competition in the season opener. In the Stoystown Auto Wreckers Modifieds, popular veteran Tom Golik used a late-race pass to secure his third-career win, while young Aaron Van Fleet celebrated his first-career victory in the J&J Truck Equipment Street Stock division. Steve Long won a memorable feature event for the Famers Union Co-Op Chargers, and Andrew Pluta was victorious in the Somerset Trust Company Fast ‘n Furious 4-Cylinders. All five divisions are in action again Saturday, May 27th, with practice sessions starting at 4:30pm, and racing at 6:00pm

The nightcap event Saturday, will be a race called “The Big John’s 75,” for Ron’s Collision Center Enduro Series cars. These safety-modified-street-cars, will race 75-laps on the Jennerstown pavement, with no caution flags – the drivers race AROUND the disabled and crashed cars. For the first time in 2017, points will be earned at each event, toward a Champion’s title after the four events on the schedule are completed. Ron’s Collision Center will also be announcing contests for fans and other awards for competitors in all divisions this year, in the coming weeks.

Live music, plus clowns and face painting will begin when the gates open at 4:00pm, along the Jennerstown Speedway Midway. Racer’s Pub will open at 4:00pm also, serving beer and malt beverages to race fans over 21 years of age.
