Edlin Motorsports arrived at Dominion Raceway Friday night in order to get some practice in with the new engine and setup on the car but unfortunately Mother Nature wasn’t having any of that.
Saturday the team arrived at the track early to try and get the car dialed in for the races that evening. After the first practice the car needed a lot of changes including a gear change. Once all the changes were made, Lauren took the car back out for the 2nd practice. Overall the car was much better but lacked some speed so some more changes were made just in time for qualifying.
Lauren went out 4th in line and did 2 qualifying laps and wound up starting 13th out of 18 cars.
During the first race Lauren stated the car wasn’t too bad but still lacked for speed.
She managed to stay out of trouble and brought the car home in 8th place.
After some more changes for the 2nd 60 lap race Lauren started 8th and finished 7th after developing a vibration in the closing laps.
Edlin Motorsports would like to thank all of our partners and friends that came out to support us for the weekend.
Super glad our Fan Experience contest winners, Stacey and his son Kordin, had a memorable time with us this weekend. Stacey even got to work on the car.
