Southern National Motorsports Park was a learning experience for driver Lauren Butler. After unloading Friday night and running some laps to familiarize herself with the 17 degree banked track the Edlin Motorsports Impala SS developed fuel pressure issues. Thanks to fellow competitor, John Kennedy, who had a spare pump with him we were able to repair the car. The Super Cup Stock Car Series makes their inaugural appearance at Southern National Motorsports Park, which also marks the first time since 2011 that a series race will be held in North Carolina. Edlin Motorsports arrived at Dominion Raceway Friday night in order to get some practice in with the new engine and setup on the car but unfortunately Mother Nature wasn’t having any of that.
